Sharing space, listening, laughing, and staying connected to the people who make Hamilton what it is. I was so glad to spend time at @MacTiniBar on Ottawa Street North with @StevenDHilliard of the @HouseofAdamandSteve and other wonderful community members. Steven’s work has helped create safer, more joyful spaces for Hamilton’s queer community.
Community is not a campaign slogan. It is a relationship built over years – by showing up, supporting local businesses and artists, celebrating one another, and listening to people’s experiences.
As I run for Mayor of the @CityofHamilton, I’m bringing more than policy proposals to public office. I’m bringing deep community connections, a record of coalition-building, and an understanding that our city’s greatest strength is its people. Hamilton deserves leadership that is present, approachable, compassionate, and accountable long after election day.
This is my Hamilton – and these are the communities I will be proud to serve.
