There’s something special about spending time in the places that make our communities feel like home.
It was a pleasure to stop by @cafedomestiique in the heart of Dundas – a welcoming local café that has become a gathering place for neighbours, cyclists, students, families, and visitors alike. Independent businesses like this are more than places to grab a coffee – they’re where conversations happen, friendships are built, and local economies thrive. The café has become a community hub in downtown Dundas while celebrating its roots as the revival of the beloved Domestique Café Cyclo Sportif.
As your next Mayor of Hamilton, I want to build a city where small businesses can succeed without being buried under unnecessary barriers, where our historic downtowns remain vibrant, and where every neighbourhood – from Dundas to Stoney Creek, Ancaster to the lower city – has thriving local businesses that bring people together.
