One of the greatest joys of this campaign has been meeting the people who quietly help hold our community together.

Today I had the pleasure of stopping by New Vision United Church (@newvisionunited) to drop off a campaign flyer and a pinback button for Steve Logie (@SteveLogie).

Steve has worked at New Vision for nearly 10 years as a custodial assistant, and if you’ve attended a community event there, chances are you’ve benefited from his hard work. From helping prepare the space to supporting special events and assisting with safety and security, Steve is one of those people who makes community happen behind the scenes.

The @CityofHamilton is full of people like Steve – people whose work often goes unnoticed but whose contributions make our neighbourhoods stronger every single day.

If I become Mayor, I want to champion not only the big ideas that shape our city, but also the everyday people who keep our community organizations, faith spaces, arts venues, and public gathering places welcoming and accessible.

Thank you, Steve, for your support, your kindness, and for everything you do for Hamilton. It was wonderful seeing you today! ❤️🏙️
