Today I had the privilege of dropping off a campaign pin and flyer to Krystal and hearing her story.
Like so many people in Hamilton, Krystal isn’t asking for luxury. She’s asking for something every resident deserves: a safe, well-maintained place to call home.
She shared her concerns about the poor condition of her apartment and how difficult it is to truly feel safe where she lives. No one should have to choose between having a roof over their head and having peace of mind.
Housing isn’t just about buildings – it’s about dignity, safety, health, and the ability to build a life. When residents are forced to live in neglected conditions, it reflects a system that has stopped listening.
As your next Mayor, I will fight for stronger accountability, safer housing, and a City Hall that puts residents before bureaucracy. Every Hamiltonian deserves to feel secure in their own home, regardless of their income, ward, or postal code.
