I had the pleasure of dropping off a campaign button and flyer to Dana @Memethief (they/them), a talented Fringe Festival (@hamfringehftco) actor and one of the many artists helping make Hamilton such a vibrant, creative city.
One of the things I’ve loved most about this campaign is meeting people from every corner of our community. From small business owners and tradespeople to healthcare workers, students, seniors, advocates, artists, and actors, support for this campaign is coming from people with incredibly diverse backgrounds and experiences. That tells me something important: Hamiltonians want a city that works for everyone.
The arts are not an afterthought – they’re part of what gives Hamilton its identity. Our artists tell our stories, challenge us to think differently, bring life to our neighbourhoods, and contribute to our local economy. They deserve a city that values their work and invests in the conditions that allow creativity to thrive.
