My name is Scarlett Gillespie, and I’m running for Mayor of Hamilton. I’m not a career politician. I’m a Hamiltonian who has watched this city I love get harder to live in – for renters, for families, for people who just want to stay in the neighbourhood they grew up in. I believe our city should work for the people who live here. Not just the ones who can afford a seat at the table. That’s why I’m running. And I’d love for you to be part of this.

As a tenant, community organizer, and advocate living in Ward 3, I’ve seen first-hand how disconnected City Hall can feel from everyday people. I’m running because Hamilton deserves leadership rooted in lived experience, accountability, and care for one another.
