9% – in a poll my campaign did not commission, fund, or design.
A recent @HamiltonSpectator article reported that a robocall poll commissioned by Keanin Loomis’s campaign placed me at 9% among decided respondents, alongside three candidates with significant political networks and name recognition.
A campaign poll is only one snapshot, and elections are decided by voters – not polling. But this result tells me that our grassroots message is reaching Hamiltonians.
I entered this race because people deserve a genuine alternative to politics as usual: leadership shaped by lived experience, community service, research, advocacy, and the courage to challenge systems that are not working.
My campaign is fighting for housing as a human right, stronger tenant protections, accessible public services, responsible and transparent government, and a Hamilton where no person or neighbourhood is treated as disposable.
Nine per cent is not a ceiling. It is a foundation.
Every conversation at a doorway, every volunteer hour, every shared post, and every person who believes Hamilton can choose a different kind of leadership is helping this movement grow.
Thank you to everyone who has already placed their confidence in me. We are in this race, our voices are being heard, and we are only getting started.
Let’s turn 9% into a movement – and that movement into a mandate.
